My rottweiler-mix has a medium coat, and this comb is perfect for it. Removes an amazing amount of fur. He doesn't mind it as long as I don't keep on too long with it.

Wow, what a difference over the standard wire brushes I Used to use-they're in the can now. This brush removes 3 times the hair and gets out the deep stuff the other brush never got to. Highly recommended.

I have two large dogs and they shed. So I HOPED this deshedder would work. IT DOES. I really like it and the dogs do too. It is comfortable to use and effectively desheds my Lab beautifully. I am so glad I bought this. Thanks.

My husband found this on amazon and with no reviews, we were skeptical to buy it at first. We have tried all sorts of deshedding brushes for our dog and have spent too much money in the process. It is a shame that it took so long to come across this because we would have saved a lot of time and money had we just got the Furever Deshedder first first! It is amazing! I brushed my dogs fur with it yesterday and I got a carrier bag full of loose underfur and top fur. She has lasted throughout today without further shedding, but I have a feeling this will have to be done once or twice a week to maintain it all.
The idea behind the product is to remove the loose underfur which is where a majority of the shedding comes from. Very few brushes out there are successful at doing this for some reason! But the design of this particular brush is pretty neat. It has gently rounded teeth that pushes through the top coat and removes the loose underfur. Most of the fur then gets caught in the brush so you can put it right in the trash and not have masses of loose hair flying all over the place!
One note though, if your pet suffers with sores, has bruises or any other skin conditions, this might not be the best brush for your pet because of how scratchy the teeth can be. It will irritate already sensitive skin if you're not careful.
However, if you are looking for something to maintain your pets coat and save your vacuum... this is the item for you... or your pet I should say! Quite outstanding and well worth the price.
