The filters work great. I have two cats and the whole fountain works well. But do not get lax on changing the filters. 1 month each tops.

As for the filters and this fountain system, it is awesome. My cats really enjoy it. It can be tough to clean, but just keep up with it once a week, rinse your filters often, and clean it out immediately if you notice dropped cat food in the dish. I've had my fountain for almost a year and a half now, and everything is still working perfectly!
