Product Description
Newman's Own Organics Premium Dog Treats, Salmon & Sweet Potato. Breakable Medium Size Treats. Made with Organic Barley Flour & Organic Sweet Potatoes. No Wheat. No Corn. Paul Newman has given over $200 Million to thousands of charities worldwide since 1982. The Daily Scoop! Page 2A. Newman Dog Tells All! The literary world is reeling with the news that Paul Newman's dog is shopping a tell-all book on the famous actor and his family. Insiders say that Newman, in an attempt to squash the book, has tried to dissuade his "best friend' from going ahead with the project by launching a line of delicious pet food and treats. The dog's agent has not returned Newman's calls. Several editors who have received the proposal say that the dog writes openly about Newman's persistent disobedience of the house rules. Newman's deep rooted fear of drinking toilet water, and his penchant for wearing mismatched socks. The dog also reveals that Paul's daughter, Nell, is a mess-making machine in the kitchen and at the breakfast table. 'It is all I can do to eat all the scraps that drop to the floor." Along with the other eccentricities of the family, Nell's six new pet chickens leave the author perplexed. "What kind of affection do they show her? I've never seen a chicken lick her face at 6am. Where did I go wrong?" In spite of vaunted candor of the book, however, the author exercises some discretion. The only reference to the sensitive subject of age is diplomatic. "Let's just say they are both well over 250 years old". Due out this summer, 'Scraps on a Cold Stone Stoop' has already created a bidding war for film rights in Hollywood.

5 out of 5 stars Perfect Treat   August 30, 2010

We have two German Shepherds that love these cheese (or chicken) treats. They have all good ingredients and make a perfect treat for training and just as a snack.

5 out of 5 stars GREAT VALUE! EXCELLENT SERVICE!   August 19, 2010

i'm kinda new to amazon (only ordered books in the past)...and just set up the automatic service on this item for the best value! SO worth it!! you can't beat the price (seriously folks, the name brand pet stores sell this at more than double the price)!! i love newman's own organics, and more importantly...so does my little, four-legged girl.

5 out of 5 stars The only biscuit my dog will eat   August 13, 2010
A. Reid (NC, USA)
I have the world's pickiest dog. (Well, judging among dogs who've been raised on dry food and not, say, fresh shrimp.) He's turned his nose up at dog biscuits since puppyhood, but I've never given up. Earlier this year, I found these on sale at a local store (that, alas, carries them no longer) and picked up a bag on a whim for my now nine-year-old fellow to try. Voila: the magic dog biscuit. Since then I have also tried him on Newman's Own Organics Chicken Treats for Dogs, and he will happily devour them both, though he seems to have a slight preference for the peanut butter. I don't know what it is about these that he finds particularly enticing or tasty, but I'm glad to have finally found something he enjoys.

3 out of 5 stars OK...just not for my dog   August 4, 2010

I received these the other day and was very impressed with how they looked and how easy they were to break. Unfortunately, "Joey" wasn't. He ate them, but they made him sick and he only had maybe 1 1/2 of them over a 24 hour period because I was continuing his other treats to make a smooth transition. I then ordered and tried the turkey and sweet potato formula and had the same reaction. Maybe it is just too rich for him. I wanted so badly for these to work for him too! As usual, Amazon was ready to help me. I don't think you can go wrong ordering from Amazon because of their superb customer service and products.

5 out of 5 stars Love this treat   August 3, 2010

My Yorkie and Maltese just love Paul Newman's Organic Chicken and Vegetable treat. I sometimes mix it with their dog food when they get fussy about eating.I know it is a healthy treat so I do not worry about giving it to them or mixing it with their food. It makes it easy for me to order it through Amazon.
