5 out of 5 stars Great auto feeder does what it says.   March 9, 2010
Ron Turek
System works just as stated. Was a little worried after reading some pets turned the bowl to the next station ahead of time. They must have redesigned the system since it appears quite difficult to do now. My cat quickly got used to it and comes running when she hears the motor. System has a lifetime warranty also.

5 out of 5 stars PetSafe 5- Meal Pet Feeder   March 4, 2010
P. W. Jones (Freedom, USA)
I like this product. After hearing about other products being out-smarted by cats, I thought i'd go with this. Easy to setup. The D batteries are suppose to last a year. I set my feeder to feed every 5 hours for four feeds and 4 hours on the last feed. My cat got use to it right away. I fill it once a day first thing in the morning. So now the cat and I are both on routine. Now that she eats 5 times a day she can't go on a binge, hopefully she'll lose some weight. I've had it for about month now so only time will tell. Cat's don't lose weight as quickly as humans to maybe in 6 months I can write another review on weightloss.

2 out of 5 stars No battery back up?   March 3, 2010
Jennifer Smith (New York)
There is no 'battery low' indicator and no battery back up - which could leave pet unfed. Also, it really only feeds 4 meals, not 5, as the first meal is available immediately to pets (and will no doubt be eaten immediately).

5 out of 5 stars Pet feeder magic   March 1, 2010
Crystal Verdick (Dekalb, IL)
This thing looks a bit big and thats because it is. It takes up quite a bit of space as well as a few D batteries. It holds five meals including the one that is open at the moment and is programmable to rotate when you tell it to through out the day. Right now i have mine set at 11 and 3pm but they are easily changeable with the helpful instructions permanently plastered to the inside of the machine so you never lose them. The batteries seem to last for ever. However my only complaint is how loud this thing is. Its a short noise but scares me sometimes.

5 out of 5 stars I wholeheartedly recommend this automatic feeder...   February 28, 2010
Amanda M. Yoch (Shoreview, MN)
I have been looking for months for an automatic feeder for my very hungry cat. He is our alarm clock starting at 4:30 in the morning (every...single...day). We never sleep past this time, as he is meowing and meowing until we get up and feed him. Many of these automatic feeders are expensive and I was worried from the reviews that my cat will be able to break into the rest of the compartments. He is a 12-pound cat and we had to buy a hard plastic container to put his bagged food in because he otherwise would tear into the paper bag and will eat and eat and eat. This automatic pet feeder went down in price from the last time I viewed it and according to all the recent reviews, my cat may not have a chance in breaking into it. Priced in the thirties and free shipping...it's worth a try. I received it very quickly. It takes 4 D batteries and the directions on the back side of the lid is self-explanatory. Even though there are 5 compartments, one of them is always out in the open, so there really is only 4. This feeder is nice because there is a clock, not a timer. You first set the time and then there are 9 presets to set the feeding times. The first one I put 5am and the second I put 3pm. Then I restarted to 5am on the third preset and 3pm on the forth preset and so on and so on. There is also a test turn button you can press to see how fast it rotates and how loud it is. It is pretty loud when I tested it. I have been using it for almost two months now, but the noise had not woke me up. I live in a studio and it is on the other side of the room, by the kitchen. When I first set the feeder up, my cat could smell the food and tried pawing at it, but no luck. I am very satisfied with the quality and I wholeheartedly recommend this automatic feeder. If you are trying to decide which one to get...no need to look any further!
