Great product to carry along on outings with your dog. Carry a water bottle, and unfold & fill the bowl, and your pet has fresh water to drink! A great idea!

This is a great product for those who walk their dogs. It's portable in that it folds up and snaps onto a belt or leash. It opens up for adequate amounts of water for a pet who's been walking. The only issue is the waterproofing gets cracked along the folds (which is why we ordered more.)

This is a must have for the dog owner on the go. In our local doggie run, there are bowls located throughout the run, filled with water. I've often wondered how clean those bowls are, not to mention the water. I always take our own bowl and water, but I still want my hands free to control my dog. This travel bowl is a great idea. It's light weight and easily folds to a convenient size. It has a snap closure, so you can attach it directly to a belt, or the dog's leash. It can easily be folded and put in a pocket ... preferably prior to being used!
Once home you can easily wash it, or wipe it clean. I would recommend that you let it air dry before you close it up for your next trip. I keep my doggie travel bowl in the car, so I don't forget to take it!

Describing this product as cheaply made and unendurable, as one reviewer has, is misleading and doesn't represent the norm for this product. I've been using the same two (2) Hydro Bowls for over six (6) years for two separate Search dogs and two other deployed Service Dogs, and have yet to wear them out!
If you're looking for the best packable dog bowl, look no further!
The Hydro Bowls I use have been folded and unfolded -- snapped and unsnapped -- hundreds of times, and have yet to fail their functions. They hold food and water without losing a drop as a result of poor craftsmanship. Thus based on my experience with Hydro Bowls, which is quite extensive given what we train dogs for and the abuse these bowls have taken, I find it hard to believe the single negative review.

this a useful bowl for hiking. it is nice that it collapses into a triangle. takes up only a little room in the backpack. also, it holds plenty of water for my big chocolate lab.
